Install a booking kiosk at the club
Kiosk Mode turns a clubhouse computer into a self-service booking station: calendars are displayed continuously and users sign in on site to book or check in their presence.
Enable Kiosk Mode on a club computer
- On the relevant computer, sign in with your administrator account.
- Go to Administration›Settings›Booking›Kiosk Mode & Check-in.
- In the Kiosk Mode Status box, click Activate.
The club home page is then replaced by the booking calendars with a sign-in form. Kiosk Mode can be active on several computers at the same time. To go back, click Disable from the same screen.
Reactivate the kiosk after a power outage
Kiosk Mode may be disabled when the computer is powered off. To prevent this, copy the Permanent Activation URL displayed on the configuration screen and set it as the web browser’s start page. When the computer restarts, the kiosk opens on this page, which reactivates Kiosk Mode if necessary.
Configure the kiosk session and display
From Administration›Settings›Booking›Kiosk Mode & Check-in, adjust the kiosk behavior, then click Save:
- Session Duration: the session expires automatically if the user forgets to sign out.
- Logout after booking: the user is signed out as soon as their booking is confirmed.
- Number of Days: navigation depth in the calendars for visitors.
- Zoom and Display completed time slots: calendar reading comfort.
- Display names on time slots: hide names if you want to protect players’ privacy.
- Scroll Calendars Automatically: useful when all calendars do not fit on the screen, with an adjustable rotation interval.
- Virtual Keyboard: for touchscreen kiosks or kiosks without a physical keyboard.
- Immersive Mode: disables all tabs (home, messaging, my account) except booking.
Reserve specific calendars for the kiosk or for the web
The Prohibit Booking Based on Context option distinguishes bookings made at the club (Kiosk Mode active) from bookings made remotely on the web. Select the calendars that are blocked in each context: for example, you can make a court bookable only from the clubhouse kiosk, while the others remain open for online booking.
This is a simple answer to the most common complaint after bookings go online: “we can never find a free court anymore when we come to the club”. Reserving one or two courts for the kiosk gives access to players who are present on site.
Secure the self-service station
Require players to confirm their presence
A kiosk installed at the club also lets you require presence check-in: the user confirms their presence on site before playing, and no-shows can be cancelled automatically.
This setting is configured from the Kiosk Check-in button at the top of this screen, and has its own dedicated page.
