Accept payments with Verifone (Paybox)
Verifone e-commerce, formerly Paybox, is a payment platform connected directly to your organization’s bank account. It is compatible with all banks in France and is also suitable for public-sector organizations (town halls, inter-municipal authorities, etc.).
Prerequisites
- A distance selling contract (VAD) taken out with your bank: it provides you with a site number (7 digits) and a rank number (2 or 3 digits — keep only the last 2 if there are 3).
- A subscription to Verifone e-commerce: once validated, you receive your identifier by e-mail. The password for accessing the Verifone back office must be requested by phone from Verifone customer service.
- An HMAC key generated from the Verifone back office, which secures exchanges between Verifone and your club.

Connect your Verifone account
- Go to Administration›Settings›Billing›Billing Accounts, open the relevant billing account, and open the Payments tab.
- Enable Online Payments and select Verifone from the list of payment gateways.
- Enter the four requested details as displayed on the screen: PBX_SITE (site number), PBX_RANK (ranking), PBX_IDENTIFIANT (merchant identifier) and HMAC SHA512 Key.
- Click Save. Then use Test the connection to check that everything is working.

Use the same passphrase in production and pre-production to obtain an identical HMAC key: you can then switch easily from one mode to the other.
Understand the user-side payment process
When paying, the user chooses Online Payment and is then redirected to the Verifone payment page. The payment methods displayed depend on the contract taken out with your bank and Verifone.
Unlike a commission deducted from each transaction, Verifone e-commerce is billed as a monthly subscription: ask about the plan suited to your sales volume.
