Schedule time slots by period and subscription

Advanced schedules determine, time slot by time slot, what is allowed or blocked for booking according to periods (holidays, non-holiday periods, public holidays) and subscription plans.

Understand the principle

A schedule is a grid covering all your calendars: each time slot on each day of the week is either allowed or blocked. You create as many schedules as needed, then assign them to subscription plans, with dated periods if necessary. Each user is then assigned the schedule that matches their subscription and the current date.

Create a schedule

1. Go to Administration›Settings›Booking›Advanced Planning.
2. Click New.
3. Fill in the Name & Color field, for example with the name of the relevant audience.
4. If needed, enter a Text on Forbidden Time Slots: it will appear on calendars instead of inaccessible time slots (for example Unavailable or the name of another organization).
5. Click the grid cells to switch each time slot between allowed (green) and blocked (red). You can also hold down the click and drag to process several time slots at once, or use Allow All and Deny All by day or by calendar.
6. Click Save.

Assign schedules to subscriptions and periods

1. Go to Administration›Users›Access Rights›Subscriptions.
2. Open the relevant plan, then the Permissions tab.
3. Enable the Advanced Planning option.
4. Select the Default Planning, applied outside any dated period.
5. Click Add a Schedule to associate a different schedule with a dated period, for example school holidays.
6. Click Save.

This is how you manage seasonality: one schedule for school periods, another for holidays, each activated automatically on its dates.
