Second ranking: track padel alongside tennis on every user record

Until now, a user record held only one ranking. For a tennis club that had opened padel courts, you had to choose which one to track, or store the second one in a custom field, with no filter and no statistics.

From now on, every user can have two rankings, each with its own date. You name them yourself: “Tennis ranking” and “Padel ranking”, or any other pair that suits your sports.

Name your rankings

Go to AdministrationUsersUser Management, open the list menu and choose Advanced Settings. The Rankings block offers two labels.

  • The first ranking — it is called “Ranking” by default. Rename it if you wish, for example “Tennis ranking”.
  • The second ranking — give it a name to activate it, for example “Padel ranking”. Left empty, it appears nowhere: nothing changes for clubs that don't need it.

On the same screen, the User-editables fields section lets your users update their second ranking themselves from their account, just like the first one.

On each user's record

Once the second ranking has a name, the user record shows both, each followed by its date. For example, you enter “15/2” as of 1 October for tennis, and “P500” as of 1 August for padel.

On your players' side, their account also shows both rankings, with their dates. If you have allowed it, each player corrects their second ranking themselves; the dates, however, stay in the club's hands.

Everywhere the ranking appears

The second ranking follows the first one on every screen where the first one exists, under the name you have given it.

  • User list — a dedicated column, added from Custom Columns, which you can sort, and a filter to find all the players with the same ranking.
  • Export — the first ranking now comes with its date, followed by the second ranking with its own.
  • Statistics — AdministrationDashboardUsersRankings shows one tab per ranking.
  • Online registration — in AdministrationUsersOnline Sign-ups, the Form Fields section can make the second ranking mandatory.
  • Booking — in a subscription's settings, the Mandatory information for booking section can require it before booking.
  • Cards and messages — it is printed on your users' cards (Print Cards) and can be inserted into your messages with a dedicated variable.
  • File import — AdministrationUsersImport / ExportImport a File recognises the columns for the second ranking and the dates.

ADOC synchronisation: the padel ranking comes in on its own

If your club synchronises its licence holders from AdministrationUsersImport / ExportADOC Sync (FFT), the padel ranking from the federation export now goes into your second ranking, with its date. The date of the latest tennis ranking is imported too.

These dates appear in the export as month and year: we record them on the first day of the month. A date of “08/2026” thus becomes 1 August 2026.

All it takes is for the second ranking to have a name in the advanced settings. As long as it doesn't, the data step of the synchronisation flags it as inactive.

Good to know

  • Not just for padel — beach tennis, squash, badminton, pickleball: the second ranking bears the name you give it.
  • Nothing is lost — if you clear the second ranking's name, it disappears from the screens, but the values entered are kept and reappear if you activate it again.
  • No action required — without a second ranking, your club sees no difference.
