Automate your messages

Three automations to communicate effortlessly: a message displayed after login, a text added to e-mail notifications, and a birthday message sent on the day.

Display a message after login

Ideal for an announcement no one should miss: the message is displayed full screen as soon as the user logs in.

  1. Go to Administration›Customize›Communication›Post-login Message.
  2. Create a message: optional title and free content (formatted text, images).
  3. Choose the target: All Subscriptions (default) or a specific subscription.
  4. Set the Expiration Date, then click Save.

Creating a message displayed after login

You can create one message per subscription. If a specific message exists for a subscription, it replaces the default message for those subscribers: each person sees only one message.

The message remains displayed until the expiry date (included) and stops appearing the next day. Remember to extend the date or create a new message for your next announcements.

The Show all... option concerns long-lasting sessions ("Stay logged in"): the message is displayed again after the chosen period of inactivity, so that users who never log in again also see it. A display counter on each message tells you how many times it has been seen.

Add a text to e-mail notifications

  1. Go to Administration›Customize›Communication›Message in Notifications.
  2. Enable the context or contexts you want and write a text for each one.
  3. Click Save.

Text added to booking notifications

Seven contexts are available, each with its own text: Booking Notification, Cancellation Notification, Message Notification, Login Notification, Sending login credentials, User Suspension and User Reactivation.

Adapt the text to the context: for example "Don't forget to sweep the net and water the court before leaving" in the booking notification, or the office contact details in the e-mail sending the login details.
Suspension and reactivation texts are only sent if you tick the notification option at the time of the operation. Without this box ticked, the user is not informed of anything, and your text remains unused.

Automatically wish happy birthday

  1. Go to Administration›Customize›Communication›Automatic Birthday Message.
  2. Tick Enable Automatic Sending and personalise the message.
  3. Click Save.

The message is sent by e-mail on each user's birthday. The Merge Fields section lists the ones you can copy and paste into the text — first name, last name, age, date of birth — with an example of the result for each. A default message is provided to begin with, to be adapted to your organization's tone.

Configuring the automatic birthday message

You can add a gift to the message: Offer booking credits and Offer guest credits add the chosen number of credits to the user's account at the time of sending.

The credits given can only be used if the corresponding feature (booking credits or guest credits) is enabled in the user's subscription. Also remember to mention the gift in the message: nothing tells the recipient about it automatically.
