Igloohome: battery-powered padlocks and locks
Igloohome manufactures battery-powered smart padlocks, key boxes and locks that open with a code or a fingerprint. It is the simplest solution to install: no wiring, no network needed where the equipment is located.
Overview
Igloohome is one of the world's leading manufacturers of smart padlocks, key boxes and locks. Its devices are self-sufficient: they work out for themselves whether a code is valid, without being connected to anything. Your organization account generates the code matching the booking, and the player enters it on site.
This autonomy relies on the AlgoPIN™ algorithm, which validates the code locally in a few milliseconds. That is what makes it possible to secure an access point where there is no network, no power outlet and no way to run a cable.
What the solution brings to your day-to-day operations
- Immediate installation: no wiring, no WiFi setup, the hardware runs on batteries.
- A court that remains accessible even in an area with no mobile coverage, and even during an Internet outage.
- A unique code for each booking, which expires on its own at the end of the time slot.
- Permanent codes running alongside, configurable by opening hours, by days or for a set duration, for coaches, cleaning staff or access to the changing rooms.
- Centralised management: your bookings are still managed from your organization account, with no technical work on site.
A range that covers every access point
The catalogue ranges from a gate padlock to a door lock, with models designed for metal gates, wooden doors and glass doors. The key box is the simplest answer when the door itself cannot be replaced: it keeps the existing key, and it is the code that changes with each booking.
Opening is done with a code on the keypad, and with a fingerprint on some models. In addition, the Bridge unit connected to WiFi lets you lock and unlock remotely over the Internet, which is useful for helping out a player without travelling to the site.
Uses beyond courts
Organizations and local authorities use it for access to courts, but also for changing rooms and equipment loan boxes — rackets, balls, padel gear.
The same hardware is used for coworking offices, meeting rooms, car parks and the communal areas of a residential building, which makes it a relevant solution for an organization managing several types of spaces.
Connecting your Igloohome account
The link is set up with a simple authorisation, with no key to copy over.
- Open Administration›Settings›Access Control & Piloting, then More Information on the Igloohome card.
- Enable Activate the Igloohome module.
- Click Log In: you are redirected to Igloohome.
- Sign in with your Igloohome account and authorise access. You are then brought back to the configuration page.
The API Status block confirms the link.
Linking your calendars to the devices
Match each calendar with the Igloohome product that secures its access. A calendar with no associated product triggers no opening.
Setting the time tolerance
Two settings define the window during which the code works around the booking:
- Tolerance before the start of the time slot: how early access is allowed;
- Tolerance after the end of the time slot: margin to get back out.
