Cancel or change a booking

Cancel, move or resize a booking from the calendars, or change its participants, within the time limits and rules set by your organization.

Cancelling from the calendars

  1. Open the calendar and click your booking. You can also go to the My Bookings menu and find your booking in the history.
  2. Click the cancel button.
  3. Confirm with Yes, continue!, or back out with Cancel.

You are informed by notification, as are your partners, according to their preferences.

Changing the participants

  1. Click your booking in the calendar or from the My Bookings menu to display its details.
  2. Depending on your organization's rules, you can add a participant using the Add a participant button, or swap someone by clicking the icon.
  3. If the change you want is not possible, cancel the booking and then book again, within the permitted time limits.

Moving a booking

If your organization allows it, move your booking to another time, another court or another day by dragging it on the calendars, without cancelling it to book again.

  1. Grab your booking in the calendar: hold the click on it, or press and hold it for half a second on a phone or tablet.
  2. Drag it: a preview follows the pointer and shows the new time.
  3. Release it at the position you want.

Booking being moved to another court

A click or a short tap always opens the booking details. On a touch screen, it is the half-second press that starts the move: a finger that slides straight away simply scrolls the calendars.

When the preview turns red, the position is not allowed: release it, a window explains why and your booking stays where it was.

Move refused to a time slot that is already taken

Moving follows the rules of your subscription:

  • you can only move your own bookings, and always to a free time slot;
  • a booking can be moved for as long as you can still cancel it;
  • on a booking with several players where each one cancels their own place, only the booking owner can move it;
  • the start times are those offered by the booking form, and the open dates, quotas and credits apply just as they would for a new booking.

If the new time slot costs more credits, the difference is deducted; if it costs less, the difference is returned to you. When the day, the time or the court changes, you and your partners are informed by e-mail, according to your notification preferences. If your organization uses access codes, the codes for the new time slot are displayed after the move, just as after a booking.

Resizing a booking

If your subscription lets you choose the length of your bookings, you can also change it from the calendars.

  1. Display the booking handles: hover over it, or press it for half a second then lift your finger without moving it on a touch screen.
  2. Grab the top handle to change the start time, or the bottom one to change the end time. With your finger, the handle can be grabbed directly: no further long press is needed.
  3. Drag, then release.

Handles for resizing a booking

On a touch screen, the booking stays selected, highlighted by a shadow, until you touch the screen elsewhere. Its handles are two round dots, at the top right and at the bottom left; a brief tap on one of them does nothing. Drag the selected booking to move it, with no further long press; a short tap on it opens its details.

The preview stops at the minimum and maximum durations allowed by your subscription. If your booking has no handles, its length cannot be changed: move it, or cancel it and book again.

Finding out your organization's cancellation rules

Each organization sets its own rules, so your subscription may:

  • forbid any cancellation;
  • limit cancellation in time, for example up to a certain period before the start of the time slot;
  • limit the number of cancellations over a given period;
  • forbid the cancellation of bookings that include guests;
  • on a booking with several players, allow each one only to remove their own name: only the booking owner can then cancel the time slot entirely.
Once the cancellation deadline has passed, the cancel button is no longer offered. Contact your organization if something unexpected comes up at the last minute.

Getting your credits back after a cancellation

If booking credits or guest credits were deducted, they are automatically returned to your account when you cancel, according to your organization's rules. No credit is returned if none was deducted, for example when the organization makes same-day bookings free.

In some cases, your organization may decide not to return credits when a booking is cancelled.

Finding your bookings and cancellations

The full history is available in My AccountMy Bookings: upcoming time slots, past bookings and cancellations, with their status. The Hide Cancellations option lets you shorten the list.
