Hourly system shutdowns: new "advanced configuration" mode for more flexibility
lipnja 2018

The "System Hourly Closures" module, accessible from the Administration > Settings menu, allows clubs to close the reservation based on the time on the clock. The most common use is to allow reservations only when the clubhouse is open, for example from 8:00am to 10:00pm. If the user logs in at 6:31am or 11:42pm, he will be able to view the tables but he will have to wait until the morning at 8:00am to book a slot. In this particular example it is sufficient to configure "simple" closures from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. as shown in the following image.

This "simple" setting applies to all courts without distinction, which makes it impossible to use it, especially in clubs wishing to define different closures for different activities, for example from 00:00 to 8:00 on the tennis courts and from 22:00 to 10:00 on the squash courts.

It is with this in mind that we have rewritten the module to include an "Advanced Configuration" mode. Click on the button of the same name and a more complete configuration interface will be displayed. You can now configure several closures and apply them only to certain users (by subscription), to certain courts (tennis, padel, squash, ...) or according to the days of the week and time slots bookable.

In the example shown below, we use the "Advanced Configuration" mode to define a closing time on Friday from 00:00 to 14:00 that will applyonly to the Padel courts for the next day's slots on Saturday. In other words, the user will be able to book a Saturday slot only from the day before Friday at 14:00. If the user tries to book a Saturday slot on Friday at 9:43am on the clock, the booking will be denied, but this will not prevent the user from booking another slot not affected by this closure.

If the user logs in during the closed time slots, he/she can view the schedules but cannot book. A specific error message is displayed when clicking on a free slot:
