Customize the home page

Build your organization's home page with content blocks: introduction, photos, calendars, weather, sign-ups, and more. Each block can be public or restricted to certain users.

Add a content block

  1. Go to AdministrationCustomizeHomepage.
  2. Click Add a block and choose a block type.
  3. Fill in the block options, then click Save.

The page is organized into two columns. Move the blocks by drag and drop, from one column to the other or within the same column, to build your layout.

Two blocks are managed automatically: the Login / Welcome block is always present (it can be moved but neither edited nor deleted), and the Online Sign-ups block appears when online registration is enabled (customize its tagline and its button colour, or hide it with the Hide this block even if sign-ups are active option).

Choose the right block types

  • Custom Block: title, icon and free content (formatted text, images, files, tables). This is the all-purpose block for your announcements and presentations.
  • Online store: a showcase of products published in your shop, selected manually or by category, with a button leading to the full shop.
  • Photos: displays the latest photos or a random selection, from all your albums or from a specific album.
  • Public Schedules: embeds a public calendar configuration directly on the home page.
  • Find a Partner: highlights the latest Find a Partner listings.
  • News Feed (RSS): predefined sports news or a custom feed.
  • Pages Menu, Access Map, Local Weather: navigation to your web pages, access map and weather forecast.
  • Facebook and Twitter: embed your organization's feed on the home page, so you don't have to copy each post.
To display a tournament that changes over the weekend, create a custom block containing the image of the draw or a link to a PDF file. You then simply replace the image or the file with each update: the home page is always up to date, without touching the layout.
Does your organization already publish news on a blog or an external website? Add a news feed block and choose Define a Custom Feed (blog, club site): enter the feed address and a title, and the latest posts will be displayed automatically.

Restrict a block to certain users

Each content block has a Privacy setting:

  1. Open the block concerned.
  2. Choose Public (visible to all visitors) or Private (visible only after logging in).
  3. In private mode, restrict the display to certain profiles or subscriptions if needed.

You can therefore display a different message depending on the audience: practical information for visitors, internal instructions for members, announcements reserved for a subscription.

In a private custom block, insert merge fields (surname, first name, etc.): the content is automatically personalized for each logged-in user.

  1. In AdministrationCustomizeHomepage, click Banner (or Edit the banner when hovering over the header image).
  2. Choose one of the suggested images or upload your own (JPEG, GIF or PNG, minimum width of 1170 pixels).
  3. Set the display type, add a hyperlink on the banner if needed, or hide it completely.

The Logo button lets you upload the organization's logo, displayed in the navigation bar and on your communications.

Change the colour theme

In the section's side menu, under Theme, click a colour swatch: the entire organization website (buttons, links, headers) immediately takes on the chosen colour.
