Weather forecasts: more accurate data and new icons

Depending on your city, the weather forecast could sometimes not be very accurate, even to the point of announcing snow in Marseille in the middle of March!

That's why we decided to change the provider of the weather data. Until now, the data came from the free service OpenWeatherMap.org, now we use paid data fromForecast.io.

This change of provider leads to some visible changes:

  • the daily forecasts are reduced to D + 7 days but are more accurate,
  • the temperatures are more accurate,
  • the description text (scattered clouds, sunny...) are more complete,
  • precipitation intensity is now expressed in mm/h,
  • on the home page widget, the sunset time is displayed.

We also updated the icons for a lighter and modern look.

Finally, on the "Tables by court" view, it is now possible to display the detailed forecast by simply dragging the mouse over the weather:
