We have an extremely active bowling section with a good mix of ladies and gentlemen playing. We are keen to recruit new members, young and not so young, and we hold 'Come and Try' sesions throughout the season aimed at a wide range of ages inc;luding schools.
There are two paths that people follow within our club: people who wish to confine their playing to that of a social nature and those who are happy to become involved in competition play, both within and outwith the club. The club participates in Bowls Scotland and West Lothian Bowling Association competitions, both for men and women. We also have club competitions played throughout the season that lasts between April and September.
We have coaching sessions held on Saturday mornings. Any adults and children who might be interested in playing bowls are made welcome at any time, with bowls and shoes being available for use if necessary.
There is a "Hat Night" open to all members every Monday and Friday at 18:30, and on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 13:30. Play takes the form of a hat where partners are drawn at random to play together. All are welcome to play and this is also a good time for socialising. We also have weekend competitions, details of which can be found on the club notice boards and through social media platforms.
The club also runs a series of 'fun competitions', mainly at weekends, and organises several social events throughout the year.
Bowling club announcements are displayed on the section notice boards in the clubhouse and in the locker room.
The club is a member of Bowls Scotland.
