  About the club

Bellsburn Bowling Club is a member of Bowls Scotland.  Club members include a fairly equal mix of ladies and gents, and a variety of ages and abilities.  We are keen to recruit new members, whether young or not so young, and regardless of prior experience.  "Come and Try" sessions are offered throughout the year to allow new bowlers a chance to experience the game. Bowls and shoes are available for use, if needed.  During the season, we offer coaching sessions for new and experienced members on Saturday mornings.  Our season runs between April and September.

There are two paths that people follow within our club: (1) people who wish to confine their playing to that of a social nature and (2) those who are happy to become involved in competition play, both within and outside the club. The club participates in Bowls Scotland and West Lothian Bowling Association competitions, both for men and women. We also have club competitions, in a variety of formats, that are played throughout the season. Additionally, the club also organizes several social events throughout the year.

Members can join in on regularly scheduled bowls games on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.  There are "hats" scheduled every Monday and Friday at 18:30, and on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 13:30.  In a hat, partners/teams are drawn at random to play together. All levels of players are welcome and members also find this to be a good time for socialising. We also have weekend competitions, details of which are communicated via email, the club notice boards, and social media platforms.

Check out the Bellsburn Bowling Club Facebook page to learn more about our bowls events and social activities.
