Accept payments with Verifone (Paybox)
Verifone e-commerce, formerly Paybox, is a payment platform connected directly to your organization's bank account. It works with every bank in France and is also suitable for public bodies (town halls, communities of municipalities, etc.).

Requirements
- A distance selling contract (card-not-present payments) taken out with your bank: the bank provides you with a site number (7 digits) and a rank number (2 or 3 digits — if there are 3, keep only the last 2).
- A Verifone e-commerce subscription: once it is approved, you receive your merchant ID by e-mail. The password for the Verifone back office must be requested by telephone from Verifone customer service.
- An HMAC key generated from the Verifone back office, which secures the exchanges between Verifone and your organization.

Connecting your Verifone account
- Go to Administration›Settings›Billing›Billing Accounts, open the billing account concerned and go to the Payments tab.
- Enable Online Payments and select Verifone from the list of payment gateways.
- Fill in the four pieces of information requested, as displayed on screen: PBX_SITE (site number), PBX_RANK (ranking), PBX_IDENTIFIANT (merchant identifier) and HMAC SHA512 Key.
- Click Save, then use Test the connection to check that everything works.

Use the same passphrase in production and in pre-production to obtain an identical HMAC key: you will then be able to switch easily from one mode to the other.
Understanding the payment from the user's point of view
When paying, the user chooses Online Payment and is then redirected to the Verifone payment page. The payment methods displayed depend on the contract taken out with your bank and with Verifone.
Unlike a commission charged on each transaction, Verifone e-commerce is billed as a monthly subscription: find out which plan suits your sales volume.
