We've just rolled out an upgrade to our security system with the integration of a new bot and spam protection solution developed by Cloudflare. This update provides a significantly improved user experience while strengthening the security of the platform.
Integrated into the contact form on your club page and the online registration form, it can now be activated on the booking form to prevent rogues from using automation solutions to get the most popular slots before anyone else.
In terms of personal data protection, this new solution guarantees total respect for privacy, since it does not collect any user data, and ensures full compliance with current regulations.
Our previous security solution, while mostly effective, could sometimes create friction in the user experience. It regularly required users to click on several images (e.g. "click on buses" or "click on bikes"), which could prove tedious and frustrating. What's more, some particularly sophisticated robots sometimes managed to bypass this protection.
Our new solution changes all that:
We've extended this protection to the reservation form. Administrators can activate this feature from the menu Administration > Settings > Account settings > Security. The option can be activated for all users or for specific users.
Once activated, an invisible, non-intrusive check is performed when a user clicks on a slot. This check ensures that the user is human and not a robot or automation tool (such as a web browser extension programmed to book automatically).
